Driver Ejected from Lada Wins Chuck Norris Stamp of Approval

Sometimes the universe conspires to work against you but sometimes it works to help you out. This time it was clearly a case of the latter.

Not only did the driver of this white Lada 110 (or VAZ-2110) avoid being hit by a Mercedes-Benz E-Class when he lost control of his car; not only did he miss the concrete pole when he was ejected from the Russian sedan; not only did he avoid being run over by the German saloon but he also managed to avoid any serious injuries!

Russian Driver Scolds Cops for Not Wearing Seat Belts and Talking on the Phone

In what might one of the funniest encounters between a civilian driver and Russian police officers we've seen to date, a man captures two cops in a car completely off guard when he opens the window of his BMW (perhaps that may have something to do with it…) and tells them off for not wearing their seat belts and talking on the phone.

If you have 30 seconds to spare, hop over the break to watch the clip.

This Was No Russian Joy Ride…

Attempting to overtake a large truck from the right side of the road on a rainy day with a mediocre sedan is obviously a very bad idea.

Given the circumstances of this accident, the Russian driver of the blue sedan should undoubtedly consider himself/herself lucky with this outcome. It could have been worse, much worse…

Watch the video right past the break.

Irina Olhovskaya Proves that Russian Car Videos Can be Racy

Truth to be said, the vast majority of the car related videos from Russia making headlines around the internet depict crazy incidents and accidents. But that's not all "mother Russia" has to offer us gearheads.

Case in point, Russian Playboy bunny Irina Olhovskaya who is the host of a video series from Blond Drive TV – no seriously, that's the name.

You know You Shouldn't be Driving When…

We have watched this video several times and still cannot find a reasonable excuse for why the driver of the Lada Niva crashed into a stopped car on the opposite side of the road.

Even if the pedestrians crossing the road surprised the driver, we can't see why she (according to the YouTube poster) didn't stop her vehicle before it hit the Mazda3.

Head past the break to watch the incident as it was recorded from a dashboard mounted camera.

Speeding House Falls in front of a Car on Russian Highway

The last or at least one of the last things you expect to see on the road is a house. Then again, if we are talking about Russia, anything goes…

Like a large truck carrying a small house on its trailer that wasn't tied down securely and fell on the highway with a car smashing right into it.

Seeing is believing so hop over the break for the half-pink-tinted video.

At Last, Opel Unveils All-New 2013 Astra Sedan

This is the all-new Opel Astra sedan, the fourth and likely last member of the Astra family after the five-door hatchback, the Sports Tourer station wagon and the GTC coupe as the upcoming convertible model is said to gain a new nameplate in the likes of the VW Golf-based Eos.

If you have already laid eyes on the North American market Buick Verano or its Chinese twin, the Excelle GT, the 2013 Opel Astra sedan's appearance won't surprise you.

That doesn't mean there aren't some styling changes, just that they are limited to the front and rear ends with the European model sporting the typical Astra face and new tail lamps that ditch the Buick's chrome 'eyebrows' along with a restyled boot that integrates a spoiler in its design.

In Russia, Airplanes Use the Road as a Landing Strip

For the vast majority of our readers, an airplane, regardless of its size, getting ready to touch ground right in front of you on the road, would be something to be afraid of, but for this driver and his female passenger, it's just another day in Russia.

According to the poster of the video, a local villager near the city of Nizhny Novgorod owns the small monoplane. Amazingly, it is said that he frequently uses the road as a...landing strip during the summer months!

Notice Anything Strange with this Picture?

Sure you do. But hey, it still rolls, right? We can't pinpoint the location that the video was taken, but we would not be one bit surprised to learn that it's in Russia or perhaps one of the former Soviet republics.

A good old fashioned left click on the picture will take you straight to the video.

BMW M Club Drivers Crash Into Each Other on Moscow Streets

A pleasurable drive on the city streets of Moscow, Russia, turned into a nightmare for several members of a local BMW M Club this past Saturday, after a number of cars crashed into each other.

Video footage from one of the cars involved in the accident as well as from another, unrelated vehicle discovered online (3rd clip, skip to 1:06), shows that the pileup occurred when the driver of a blue E34 M5 sedan turned on his blinker and veered towards the right lane at the same time that a mustard-colored E46 M3 Coupe was coming from behind.

As a result, the driver of the M3 lost control and smashed into the BMW with the camera (reportedly the blue E90 M3 sedan), which was then rear-ended by a 1-Series M Coupe.

Russia's TopCar Makes a...Lemon out of the Porsche Cayenne SUV

Naming a car a "Lemon" may not be such a bad thing in Russia, but in English-speaking countries, the term is commonly used to describe a new vehicle that is found to be defective…

Amazingly, Everyone Made it Out Alive in this Accident

For obvious reasons, standing on the side on the road for chitchat is never a good idea. There are plenty of other places to park your car in safety if for whatever reason you need to stop.

Luckily, these men who were all dressed up for a wedding, came out unscathed when a speeding car from the opposite side of the road crashed into one of the parked vehicles. Watch the video after the break.

This Pedestrian Doesn't Even Know How Lucky She is

While even stray dogs nowadays seem to comprehend the concept of looking both ways before walking across the road, some pedestrians insist on their "right" to walk in front of vehicles where there is no crosswalk.

Amazingly, even though this pedestrian was only inches away from meeting her (?) maker, she didn't even blink an eye. Head past the break for the short clip.

Chuck Norris Approved Exodus After a Rollover

Even in the event that you were not hurt, most drivers would probably be too shaken and terrified to move after experiencing a severe crash that results in a car rolling over several times on the road before coming to a stop on its side.

But not this Russian (?) driver who came out of his car through the windscreen! Watch the video after the break.

This Dog is Cannier and a Lot More Careful than Many Pedestrians…

Mothers pushing baby strollers in front of busses, people throwing themselves in front of moving vehicles, young men crossing the road without looking – you name it, we have seen it being done by pedestrians.

Who would have guessed that some dogs are far sharper and careful than humans are when it comes to crossing the road… Scroll past the break to watch the short clip.

Close Call for Motorcyclist that Almost gets Sandwiched Between Two Vehicles

A motorcyclist found himself in a very tight and dangerous spot when he foolishly tried to pass between a Mazda3 sedan and a large truck.

In the process, the biker knocked down the car's passenger mirror and instead of pulling over to apologize, he took off without looking back. The Mazda3 driver caught up him in a move that was probably unnecessary and equally foolish. Go figure….

Oh Russia, Cops in Pursuit of Lime Green Nissan GT-R…

With all the odd and crazy things we have seen taking place on Russian roads thanks to the widespread use of dashboard mounted cameras over the past years, one could say that nothing surprises us anymore.

All the same, we cannot say that we remember seeing a police officer filming a pursuit on a hand held camera (or cell phone), but we guess there is a first for everything in Russia these days… Perhaps the explanation is that the cop was an avid fan of the Nissan GT-R, who knows.

Anyway, the two Moscow cops in the Ford Focus managed to catch up to the lime-green Nissan GT-R R35, but only because the latter gave up. One of the police officers approaches the car, politely tips his hat and asks for the driver's license and registration. The driver then exits the GT-R and gets into the cop's car, at which point the video ends.
