Whilst automakers and suppliers alike are trying their best to improve fuel efficiency on every model they produce, a great number of drivers often neglect one of the leading causes of poor fuel economy.
And no, we're not talking about being heavy footed or leaving your windows open on the highway, but tire pressure.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, drivers can improve gas mileage by up to 3.3 percent simply by keeping their vehicle's tires inflated to the proper pressure. Another recent federal study says that under-inflated tires triples the risk of an accidents.

Normally, we are not in favor of customizing classic cars but this time we are going to make an exception, first because there are still plenty of Datsun 280ZX coupes out on the road and second because this conversion is truly cool and unique.
You may notice the Knight Rider-style hub caps or the matte black finish and those rocket inspired (or is that Madonna's Vogue bra?) headlamp replacements, but what really sets apart this 1983 Datsun 280ZX is well hidden under its bonnet.

While Nissan does not need any help selling the small production run of its 545-horsepower and 160mph (257km/h) Juke R special, the Japanese automaker is constantly looking for a reason to create additional buzz around the high-performance crossover with the hope that some of it will rub off on the regular model.

With all the odd and crazy things we have seen taking place on Russian roads thanks to the widespread use of dashboard mounted cameras over the past years, one could say that nothing surprises us anymore.
All the same, we cannot say that we remember seeing a police officer filming a pursuit on a hand held camera (or cell phone), but we guess there is a first for everything in Russia these days… Perhaps the explanation is that the cop was an avid fan of the Nissan GT-R, who knows.
Anyway, the two Moscow cops in the Ford Focus managed to catch up to the lime-green Nissan GT-R R35, but only because the latter gave up. One of the police officers approaches the car, politely tips his hat and asks for the driver's license and registration. The driver then exits the GT-R and gets into the cop's car, at which point the video ends.
How hard can it be to park your car in an empty lot with plenty of space for maneuvering? Harder than you think for a Chinese driver of what looks like the local market version of Nissan's Tiida five-door hatchback.
While in the beginning of the video everything seems to be going slow but smoothly, all of a sudden, the driver slams the gas pedal while in reverse with the car smashing through the wall behind it before it fell into the lake.

From the "What will they think of next?" file comes our next video of a new styling accessory for the Nissan 350Z Coupe and Roadster models (known as the Fairlady Z in Japan).
Evidently inspired from Hollywood's latest super-hero serving, the creative minds over at ZLeds came up with the bright idea of designing a pair of headlamps and turning signals that are supposed to mimic the lights from Iron Man's metal suite.

Another day, another video of the production-intent Nissan Juke-R. After the release of a short film that tells the tale of the GT-R-powered crossover's race against a trio of exotic supercars, Nissan has now published two new videos of the Juke-R in the hands of the Nissan/Playstation GT Academy winner Lucas Ordoňez.
Ordoňez takes the 3.8-litre, 160mph (257km/h) Juke-R for a picturesque ride in and out of Dubai.

On the heels of the announcement on the limited production run of the 545-horsepower Juke-R, Nissan launched a new cinematic online movie today.
The six-minute long film is named "Desert Nemesis" and it follows Nissan’s inaugural GT Academy winner, Lucas Ordonez, taking on a handful of European exotic sports cars including the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, through the roads of Dubai’s exclusive International Marina Club.

The Japanese automaker created a new media format for the website that matches the user's home, budget, neighborhood, and family size with the right Nissan model.

It doesn't take long to connect the dots after taking a quick look at the teaser photos and video of the 2013 Nissan Sentra for the North American market and comparing them with the official imagery of the new Nissan Sylphy sedan that was revealed today at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show.
Even though Nissan preferred to use the term "based on the Sylphy" in its press statement for the 2013 Sentra, it is evident that the two cars are more or less one and the same.
We expect that the differences between the two models will be limited to the trim accents inside and out such as the chrome bars on the front grille and the decorative wood panels on the center console, both of which will likely be deleted from the North American version.
Nissan will mark the Sentra nameplate's 30th anniversary in the States with the presentation of an all-new model that will be unveiled later this summer with sales to start across the country in the fall.
The new Sentra will be based on a new global sedan that is making its world premiere at this week's Auto China 2012 in Beijing. The Chinese market version of the compact sedan is named Sylphy.

Any Nissan Skyline that is or is dressed up to look like a GT-R is bound to capture the attention of any gearhead on the road.
Perhaps the passenger of the vehicle with the dashboard camera gave this souped-up Skyline sedan the evil eye or something of the sorts, because as soon the Japanese model passed by and the driver pressed on the gas pedal, he lost control of the vehicle giving the undercarriage an unwanted makeover.

Nissan's new DeltaWing prototype sportscar is garnering a lot of attention thanks to its unique appearance as it looks like a cross between the Batmobile and a land-speed record racer.
For the Japanese company and its racing partners, however, it's all about getting the car ready for its racing debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours in June.
On Tuesday, Nissan's experimental sportcar kicked off its European testing program in England at Snetterton, with Scotsman Marino Franchitti and German Michael Krumm getting their first chance to drive the car in wet conditions.

Proving that Formula One drivers can make the cut in most types of motorsports even in their after-years, former Finnish racing driver Mika Juhani Salo sat behind the wheel of a Nissan 200SX drift car.
The GT2 class winner of the 2008 and 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans had no problem harnessing the 700-horses (and 850Nm) found under the hood of the 1999 Nissan S14 coupe.

Today, your daily dose of Russian madness comes courtesy of a stubborn driver of a Nissan Teana sedan (loosely related to the older generation Maxima) who for some reason was hell bent to drive over a pedestrian crossing on a train track in Moscow.

singly, the car got stuck on the train tracks and being front wheel drive, he couldn't pedal his way out of this situation. Some by-passers quickly came out to help push the Teana back but as soon as they heard the train approaching they left him to watch the disaster that was bound to happen.
Nissan's presence at the ongoing 2012 New York Auto Show is marked by the world premiere of the 2013 Altima mid-size sedan, which is a very important model for the Japanese automaker.
In 2011, the current Altima ranked as the second best-selling passenger car in the U.S behind the Toyota Camry. Nissan believes that the new model can do even better.

For each of the past five weeks, Nissan has been providing a cryptic video highlighting certain design elements of its all-new 2013 Altima sedan.
Now, in what is probably the last teaser before the official unveiling of the mid-size model at the 2012 New York Auto Show next Wednesday, Nissan has dropped a 19-second long clip.
The video spins around the Altima's exterior before it zooms out to show us the instrument panel and the new 'Nissan Advanced Drive Assist Display' system, which the company says, "brings relevant information closer to eye level keeping your eyes on the road."
