DMC Presents a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 SV-Style Rear Wing for the Gallardo

Not all supercar makers tend to the special requests of customers. Such was the case of a Chinese owner of a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 who approached the Italian automaker in order to fit his car with the rear wing of a Murcielago LP670 SuperVeloce (SV).

Lamborghini denied the request, even though money was reportedly not the problem. The unnamed Chinese owner then approached German tuning firm DMC for a custom solution.

When the Sounds of a Lamborghini Murcielago's V12 Piss Off Pedestrians [NSFW]

As strange as it may sound –pun intended- to us gearheads, there are some normal people out there that are not only indifferent about the acoustic properties of a Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640's screaming V12, but will also throw a fit if someone dares to rev the engine on a public street…

This episode took place on the busy streets of London when a by-stander asked the driver of Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 to rev the V12 engine for the camera.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Challenges an F-16 Fighting Falcon to a Drag Race

Pitting an exotic sports car against a jet fighter to see which one is the fastest on the tarmac, is something that has been done before by - you guessed it, the chaps over at the original Top Gear when they brought together a Bugatti Veyron and the Euro Fighter back in 2007.

Nevertheless, this is a challenge you never get tired of seeing, especially when you have new opponents.

So who is the perpetrator this time? It's Danish auto magazine Bilmagasinet, which wanted to see if the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 could beat an F-16 Fighting Falcon on an airstrip.

Prindiville Imagines Tuning the One-Off Lamborghini Aventador J Speedster

We would like to believe that the last thing going through the mind of the person who has or will acquire the one-off, €2.1 million Aventador J are 24 inch rims and carbon fiber spoilers, but for the sake of conversation and some crafty marketing to reach the masses, UK design house Prindiville has released a theoretical tune for Sant'Agata's speedster.

Prindiville's imaginary (i.e. photoshop) creation builds on the limited production design and performance package it offers for the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 coupé, of which only eight examples will be produced.

Live Photos and Video of the Lamborghini Urus SUV Concept from the Beijing Motor Show

Love it or loathe it, the Lamborghini Urus SUV Concept is the star attraction at this week's 2012 Beijing International Auto Show.

The Italian automaker officially insists that there's no decision made yet to produce the Urus, but sources from within the company claim that if the top brass at the VW Group were to give the green light, a production model will be ready by 2016.

Lamborghini's CEO Stephan Winkelmann believes that the Urus could help the brand double its sales and provide a significant boost in profits in the same way that the Cayenne did for Porsche.

The production version of the 5.0 meter long Urus would likely retain the exterior styling of the concept almost intact but feature a more comfortable and less exotic interior design.

Official: Lamborghini’s Urus Concept is a 600HP SUV Aiming for the Top of its Class

Even though a four-door sports saloon is much closer to a supercar maker's philosophy than an SUV, Lamborghini wants to test the waters with a four-seat crossover model.

The VW Group-owned company’s second SUV after the 1980’s butch LM002, was unveiled today at the 2012 China Auto Show in the form of the Urus concept. We have already seen the photos of the crossover, but now have the full specifications on the concept that the company describes as being “a true Lamborghini”.

As is the tradition, the SUV's name is derived from the world of bulls. The Urus, also known as Aurochs, is one of the wild ancestors of domestic cattle. According to the Italian automaker, the Spanish fighting bull, as bred for the past 500 years, is still very close to the Urus in its appearance.

Poll: Should Lamborghini Build the Estoque Sedan or the Urus SUV?

For the past few years, Lamborghini has been swaying left and right to find a suitable third model to expand its range of sports cars that currently consists of the V10 Gallardo and the V12 Aventador.

Today, we had our first view at company's latest effort to entice the public, the all-new Urus SUV, after images of the concept leaked early ahead of a scheduled world premiere at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show on April 23.

Back in 2008 at the Paris Motor Show, the Italians had previewed their idea of how a low-slung four-door sedan should look like with an impressive concept named the Estoque.
