This Ferrari Enzo is a Toyota MR2 in Disguise

As one of the rarest Ferrari models of recent times with only 400 units built between 2002 and 2004, the Enzo is a prime candidate for makers of kit cars.

This eBay find is based on a 1992 Toyota MR2 NA, which is said to have been "professionally stretched and reinforced" to a 104-inch long wheelbase to bring its dimensions closer to the original Ferrari.

A Rare Buick Reatta Meeting in Los Angeles

The Buick Reatta is one of those cars with some fairly interesting details that only time will tell if it will become a collectable classic.

Presented in coupe form in 1988 with a soft-top convertible following in 1990, the Reatta was Buick's first modern-era two-seater model. Both body styles remained in production until 1991.

Unusually for a mass produced model, the Reatta was hand-built at the Reatta Craft Centre in Lansing, Michigan. Its platform was essentially a shortened version of the GM E chassis used by the Cadillac Eldorado, Oldsmobile Toronado and Buick Riviera, and was shared with the Cadillac Allante.

It Came for eBay Hell: Beware of the Flying Ferrari F40 Replica

We would have probably passed this one up if it weren't for the rather…ahem…artistic - in a primitive sort of way, photoshoped images that the seller uploaded on eBay beginning with the Ferrari F40 replica pictured flying on an American highway with a bunch of cop cars on its tail. Read more »

Chrysler Sebring Convertible Dressed Up as a Bentley Continental GTC Supersports

The Sebring is one vehicle series that the folks under the Pentastar would rather forget, as evidenced by the change of name on its facelifted replacement, the 200.

On the face of it, some customers share the feeling with Chrysler. Like this owner who transformed a 2003 Sebring Convertible V6 into a fairly accurate replica of the pre-facelift Bentley Continental GTC SuperSports cabriolet.

Brit Builds a Ferrari F430 Scuderia Replica Out of a Ford Cougar

Who would have thought that the Ford Cougar, known as the last generation Mercury Cougar in North America, would prove so popular with the replica crowd?

After a couple of Bugatti Veyron 16.4s and an Audi R8, we have now unearthed a Ferrari F430 Scuderia clone based on a low-mileage Cougar coupe V6.

It Came from eBay Hell: The BMW Z3 Miata Edition

Back in 1989, Mazda took the automotive world by surprise with the launch of the MX-5, also known as Miata in North America and Eunos Roadster in Japan.

The frisky and affordable rear-wheel drive MX-5 was an instant success and as a result, many carmakers tried to emulate Mazda's move by presenting their own compact-sized roadsters, including BMW, which introduced the Z3 in 1996 shortly after being featured in the James Bond movie, Golden Eye.

You Have to Hear this Gas Turbine Powered Datsun 280ZX Rat Rod

Normally, we are not in favor of customizing classic cars but this time we are going to make an exception, first because there are still plenty of Datsun 280ZX coupes out on the road and second because this conversion is truly cool and unique.

You may notice the Knight Rider-style hub caps or the matte black finish and those rocket inspired (or is that Madonna's Vogue bra?) headlamp replacements, but what really sets apart this 1983 Datsun 280ZX is well hidden under its bonnet.

This Ferrari F430 Replica was Built Out of a Toyota Celica

Without doubt, the Pontiac Fiero is king when it comes to donor vehicles for replicas, but once in a very blue moon, we stumble upon exotic lookalikes that are not based on GM's mid-engined sports car.

Like this Ferrari F430 clone listed for sale in Canada. The Bianco-Fuji-colored (sic…) Maranello-wannabe is built around the seventh and last generation of Toyota's Celica sports coupe series.

Opel Insignia Turbo for Sale on eBay, or is it a Buick Regal in Disguise?

Not that there are significant styling differences between the original Opel Insignia and its North American clone, the Buick Regal, other than the front grille and badges, but its uncommon to find an Insignia listed for sale in the U.S., which is why this eBay sale caught our attention. Bugatti Veyron Replica Based on Honda Civic Now Offered For Sale as a Complete Car

Remember back in February when we told you about the availability of a fiberglass body kit that attempted to replicate the looks of the $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron on 1992-1995 Honda Civic Coupes?

At the time, the seller was offering the eight-piece kit alone for $4,500, but we have now discovered that you can buy a completed model on eBay.

It Came from eBay Hell: The Plymouth PT Cruiser Limited

While originally conceived by the Chrysler Group as a Plymouth model, the PT Cruiser ended up being launched onto the market as a Chrysler branded vehicle in 2000, following the Detroit carmaker's decision to axe Plymouth the following year. The rest, of course, is history with the PT Cruiser becoming a moderate success for Chrysler. Read more »

Would you Believe that this Aston Martin DBS Replica is Based on a Toyota Supra?

Whereas some people transform the already wickedly fast in turbocharged outfit, fourth-generation Toyota Supra into mechanical beasts with 1,000-ponies under the hood, others, a very few to be honest, have slightly different plans for the Japanese sports car.

Take the British owner of this Toyota Supra, for example, who turned the coupe model into a replica of an Aston Martin DBS, supposedly inspired by the one featured in the 2008 James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace.

eBay Find: 1970 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 with Just Over 26k Miles

As popular as it was in its heydays, it has also been more than thirty years since GM ended production of the second generation Pontiac Firebird (1970 to 1981). This means low mileage and well-cared examples are getting very hard to come by, which is why this one captured our attention.

This 1970 (1/2) Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 we found on eBay has just 26,505 miles (42,646) on the odometer with the seller claiming that the car is in original condition having been "stored and cared for its entire life".

Finished in the oh-so-70s Coronado Gold exterior paint color with a Sandlewood Tan interior, the Firebird is equipped with the Formula 400 optional package that includes an array of goodies such as the 400 cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor, dual exhausts, sports suspension, dual scoop hood and more.

Dean Martin's Customized 1962 Ghia L6.4 Could be Yours for Just Under $200,000

He may be gone for close to 17 years now, but the coolness of Dean Martin is timeless. In fact, some would say that his star only gets bigger as the years go by. Naturally, a cool person like Martin would only roll around in an equally cool car in his ostensible heydays of the 1960s.

That car was none-other than the ultra-rare Ghia L6.4 from 1962, of which only 26 examples were ever made.

However, Dean Martin wasn't content with owning the Chrysler V8-powered Italian sports coupe and had Hollywood's George Barris, the man that created the 1966 Batmobile, among other vehicles, make a few customizations of his own.

Now, half a century later, Martin's bespoke Ghia L6.4 has been put up for sale on eBay by Hyman Classic Cars with a 'buy it now' price of $199,500.

Chevrolet Caprice Police and Detective Patrol Cars Appear on eBay

While General Motors never intended to offer the Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle (PPV) to the public, used examples of the Holden-based and built large sedan can be found on eBay.

As a matter of fact, there are three Chevrolet Caprice currently up for grabs on the popular online marketplace including two PPVs, one in white and the other painted in the traditional black and white colors (without any emblems, of course), and a stealthier model with the Detective Package.

All three Caprice models are powered by GM's 6.0-liter V8 engine with 355 horsepower and 384 lb-ft torque, hooked up to a six-speed automatic driving the rear wheels.

The Chevrolet Caprice is based on the Australian market Holden Caprice, without all the bells and whistles. The Caprice itself is a long-wheelbase version of the Commodore and Pontiac G8 models.

Aussie 1969 Ford Falcon XW GT Wagon Replica up for Grabs

Some will be surprised to know that the ridiculously fast family car is not a creation of the German auto industry that has dominated the segment in the past few decades with models like the Audi RS4/RS6, BMW M3/M5 and Mercedes C63/E63 AMG.

Back in the late 1960s, while American carmakers were obsessed with pony and muscle cars in coupe and convertible forms, Ford's Australian division gave birth to a vehicle that would change the industry: the 1967 Falcon XR GT sports saloon powered by a Mustang-sourced 225bhp 4.7-liter V8.

Holden tried to compete with the four-door Monaro GTS, but it was Ford that ended up creating the world's fastest production saloon in 1971 with the XY Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III propelled by a tuned 351 (5.8-liter) Cleveland V8 with up to 390bhp and a top speed of 250km/h (155mph).

Mini-Me Ferrari 360 Modena Spider Based on the Toyota MR2

"Finally, the style of Italy meets the dependability of Japan," reads the seller's description of this Ferrari 360 Modena Spider replica that is built on a Toyota MR2 donor car from the year 2000, and which we found up for grabs on eBay.

As is common in these type of builds, the replication of the Ferrari model is restricted to the exterior body panels with the interior left mostly intact (sans the Ferrari-badged seat covers).

It Came from eBay Hell: Mitsubishi 3000GT Thinks it’s a Ferrari F430

Many aspire to own an exotic Italian supercar from Ferrari or Lamborghini but few people actually realize this dream, which probably explains why there are so many replicas circulating in the car market.

We have long established that the vast majority of supercar clones are built on the Pontiac Fiero but occasionally, you will find a vehicle that you don't normally expect to be used as a base for a replica build.

It Came from eBay Hell: Ferrari F50 Replica Based on the Fiero, Powered by the Corvette

Just about every Ferrari model from the 1980s and 1990s has seen a replica equivalent based on General Motors' God-sent present to the industry, the mid-engined Pontiac Fiero, and the exotic F50 is no exception.

Today's eBay find comes from Scottsdale, Arizona, with the Fiero chassis draped in a fiberglass body that mimics the styling but not the dimensions of Ferrari's range-topping sports car that was introduced in 1995 to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary.
