6 pack air filter tops... and some times these huge air filter housings were used on 4 barrels too, when the Mopar had dual hood scoop ram air, like the 69 Super bee

Mix of old and new, a 440 six pack lift off fiberglass hood... with a modern prop rod

First time I've seen anyone do this, pretty good idea so long as they don't leave it up too long in the hot sun. It might warp. Better this hood prop than the hood hinges with springs, they bowed the hoods along the middle with the springs trying to push them up constantly

I was just talking to Darrel and he told me a true story that is shocking.

When he was 15 his dad took him down to a used car lot and told him to pick out a car. Not knowing cars very well at the time, he looked around and was quickly impressed by the fastback Mustang, running pony interior. He looked around after the Mustang, and spotted the tail stripe of a Super Bee. He asked what it was (we all did once) and then looked toward the front of the car, a long way from the back compared to the stang. He told me he noticed the flat black hood with the huge scoop.

Yeah. An A12 1969 1/2 440 six pack Super Bee.

He chose the Mustang, because to a 15 yr old kid who doesn't know cars and the rarity, value, and investment potential... the Mustang was easier to drive and park.

True story, and yes, he's really kicking himself now that he knows what he passed up on as a kid.

Both cars were only $850.00

Temecula Rod Run, interesting and beautiful stuff I found

Held in "Old Town" Temecula, and the streets are blocked off for the day. If your city, like San Diego, was founded a long time ago it might have a similar tourist area of historic preservation that surrounds the old pioneers businesses... Temecula does too, and it makes for nice backgrounds for photographing the old cars

That woody really caught a lot of attention

I love before and afters... hard to look at the above "as found" and think it's a candidate for a full restoration
