23 window left to the wind and rain, and rust. RIP.

there isn't any hope for this one unless you can steal it. According to the Screwdrivers Norway blog, the owner is determined to see it rot. I hate people with that idea. http://screwdriversnorway.blogspot.com/2012/04/samba-bus-left-to-rot.html

Bob Baker customer appreciation day annual car show for 2012

I noticed there are 2 clocks. On the far right and in the center of the dash
That's the interior light.. this car was made before electric lights in the ceiling were standard equipment
 Great ashtray

 interesting trailer

 interesting paint scheme

optional or aftermarket gas tank. Not very common, but very cool
 very cool clock and radio

no idea why this is on a bug... but I don't see these very often

Not very good gas mileage for a brand new car. Interesting take on the original looks of the beetle
for a couple galleries of last years show http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/05/cool-all-vw-spring-festival-at-bob.html
http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/05/bugs-things-and-notchbacks-at-bob.html these aren't all the coverage, but if you want to see all of last years, you'll be the first to ask for that, no one else has. So until I get a request I'm not going to track them all down and tag them

For another gallery from another blogger, check out http://blog.greenlaker.com/2012/05/bob-baker-vw-show.html !

interesting things I couldn't resist sharing, from Bugstock 2012

wow, luggage turned into an audio video mobile/portable/removeable case... cool!
even a Von Dutch touch

Ummm, good sense of humor? No, commentors Fred and TouringBubble said this was a factory transmission, VW automatic stickshift, when you pushed down on the shift lever the clutch engaged, you still had to shift, just without the foot clutch

Roth above, and blowing my mind, this Roth decal was on another car... when was the last time you've seen a real Roth decal?

Dealership plates? WTH?
What is with the stand up area? They were factory accordian style expandables
