I finally caught the episode today at Jan 2, 2012, and Mike bought it for $13,000 from the Pioneer Auto Museum in South Dakota http://www.pioneerautoshow.com/

Dave, the museum guy, said it was in a Mickey Rooney movie, "The Big Wheel"
