Endukante Premanta Movie Review

Cast :- Ram,Tamanna,
Director :- KarunaKar
Music :- GV Prakash
Producer :- Sravanthi Ravikishore
Rating: 2.5/5

Story:
The story is a plain story and Karunakaran had added fictitious touch of souls and rebirth. Going in to detail, Srinidhi (Tamannah) and Krishna (Ram) love each other but do not express. And in an unfortunate twist, they lose their lives. In their rebirth, Tamannah (Sravanthi) is the daughter of Indian Hidh Commisioner in UK. And in the pursuit of freedom from security, she runs away from home and comes to know about a major security glitch of his father. The goons attacks her and tries to kill her in an accident. She goes to coma and her soul roams around her father for help. No one in the world except Ram (Ram) hears her and sees her.

Performance:
Ram had shown tremendous ease in dances and fights, as always. In addition, with the help of director Karunakaran, he was able to showcase good comedy in his role. He improved his body language a lot and bettered in histrionics. All the action scenes were quite stylish. His costumes were good and his look id quite refreshing.
Tamannah stole the show in the film. She is drop dead gorgeous and steals your heart with her beauty. Her emotions are apt and in perfect quantity. She doesn’t over act or underplay her role anywhere. She has evolved as an actress from the time audience saw her from her previous films.. She is unbelievably cute and the director presented her splendidly beautiful in every frame. She is sure to win her thousands of new fans with this film. Her expressions in the second half is iconic and reference worthy for all the other import heroines.

Technical Performance:
Karunakaran is a director who maintains perfect balance story and screen play. He chose a complex story this time which revolves around rebirth and souls which he could not conceive properly. There were several conceptual glitches in the story too. The placement of songs is absurd and disrupts the flow of story many a time, Dialogues are good in parts. Music by GV Prakash is average. The background score should have been better. Cinematography by Andrew is very good. He explored Swiss locales well. Action episodes by Peter Heins (mostly inspired by Korean Movies) are good though look forced in the movie. Editing is adequate. Visual effects in songs are commendable.

Final word:
The film Endukante….Premanta is meant to be mainstream entertainment movie fare but it has no frills, drills, trills, grills, prills, chills, shrills and thrills.
The director is too liberal with the cinematic license and the copycat premise from Just Like Heaven becomes a wild cat of intolerable fallacy. Paranormal themes should not be treated with mainstream masala menu. Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo are so endearing in the original Hollywood movie which was co-produced by Steven Spielberg’s DreamWorks.
The film Endukante….Premanta is surely a disappointment to Ram and Tamanna

Endukante Premanta Audio review By 123Telugu.com

‘Endukante Premanta’ is one of the most eagerly awaited summer romances and the movie has the handsome Ram and gorgeously beautiful Tamanna in the lead roles. Directed by Karunakaran and produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, the movie has good expectations surrounding it. The audio album has been released recently and music has been scored by GV Prakash Kumar. Let us see how the audio album is.

1. Song: Chillout
Singers: Vijay Prakash,Andrea, Big Nikki and Maya
Lyrics : Ramajogayya Sastry.

This is most likely the hero’s introduction song in the movie and GV Prakash’s music makes it a very peppy track to listen to. The music is modern, with new age beats and the singers do a good job with the vocals. Rama Jogayya Sastry’s lyrics are decent. Overall, a pretty decent track and you can safely expect some superb dances from Ram in this number.

2.Song: Nee Choopule
Singers: Haricharan, Chitra
Lyrics: Ramajogayya Sastry

‘Nee Choopule’ is a soft and melodious number that starts off with a soulful rendition from Haricharan. Chitra’s beautiful voice comes in about a minute later and the song is very soothing to listen to. Music is nicely melodious and complements the mood beautifully. GV Prakash has made good use of stringed instruments in the track. Ramajogayya Sastry’s lyrics are nicely poetic. This song has a lot of scope for being picturized beautifully, so expect some trademark Karunakaran visuals here. A very nice melody overall.

3.Song: Kicko Gicko
Singers: Rahul Nambiar, Krish, Ranina Reddy, Maya
Lyrics: Ramajogayya Sastry

This is a highly energetic track and Rahul Nambiar’s vocals lend good energy to the number. The other singers complement his performance well. Ramajogayya Sastry’s lyrics are ok. Music is peppy and a heavy influence of the synthesizer can be heard in the beats. Expect some great dances from Ram and Tamanna in this number. A catchy and good number overall.

4.Song: Cinderella
Singers: Rahul Nambiar, Megha
Lyrics: Srimani

‘Cinderella’ is a romantic duet that has been rendered by Rahul Nambiar and Megha. Music is dominated by the electric guitar in the initial stages of the song. Traditional instruments, especially the violin, can be heard prominently in the latter half of the song. Srimani’s lyrics act as fillers and are just about ok.

5.Song: Yegiri Pove
Singers: Hema Chandra, Chinmayi
Lyrics: Ramajogayya Sastry

The movie’s title ‘Endukante Premanta’ is a part of this song’s lyrics. This song is interestingly composed, as contrasting moods can be felt in the music. Hema Chandra and Chinmayi do a pretty decent job with the vocals. Ramajogayya Sastry’s lyrics are just about ok. This song will most probably come in at a very key moment in the story line and you can expect some striking visuals in this number.

Verdict :

G.V. Prakash has come up with a youthful and cool musical score for the album of ‘Endukante Premanta’. The movie is a romantic action entertainer and the songs reflect this fact pretty well. ‘Nee Choopule’ and ‘Kico Gicko’ are my personal favourites from the album. ‘Chillout’ will become very popular among dance enthusiasts. Karunakaran has got a solid foundation on which to mount his film and we will have to wait and see what magic he creates. Thumbs up for ‘Endukante Premanta’.
