SpeedART Tunes Into the New Porsche Boxster with Styling and Performance Upgrades

German tuning firm SpeedART wasted no time in prepping a new line of accessories for the third generation of the Porsche Boxster only about a month after it arrived in European dealerships and a couple of months before it goes on sale in North America and other parts of the world.

Due to launch this summer, SpeedART's SP81-R package for the new Boxster bundles an assortment of styling accessories with various performance parts.

Porsche Abandons Plans to Build a Smaller Roadster, Pajun Sedan Still in the Works

At first, Porsche CEO Matthias Mueller said that the company would be interested in a smaller and cheaper roadster model than the Boxster during an interview at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

A few months later, speaking to German business publication Wirtschaftswoche in January of 2012, he downplayed the possibility of an entry-level roadster but he did not rule it out completely either.

New Porsche Boxster Roadster from £37,589 in Britain

The third generation of Porsche's roadster model has landed in UK showrooms with on-the-road prices starting from £37,589 for the 262bhp Boxster and from £45,384 for the 311bhp Boxster S.

Among other highlights, the new Boxster is up to 35kg (77 pounds) lighter and sports a 60mm (2.4 inches) longer wheelbase, widened track on the front and rear axles, and larger wheels than model it replaces.
