How to Turn a Lexus LS 400 into a Convertible on the Spot

Reinforced A-pillars and pyrotechnically charged roll hoops are obviously not on the menu for this second-generation Lexus LS 400 Cabriolet, which was created in a matter of minutes during a DIY coachbuilding lesson at the 2012 StanceWars event in Belgium this past weekend.

Make the jump to view the videos for yourself.

Tony Hawk Uses $375,000 Lexus LFA as a Jumping Ramp

What would you do if a carmaker loaned you a limited production supercar like the Lexus LFA for a few days?

We are willing to bet that you can think of a lot of things to do but jumping over a $375,000 sports car with a skateboard would most likely be out of the question. But that's only because you are not named Tony Hawk…

Saudi Driver Rolls Over a 2012 Lexus LX 570 on the Sand Dunes

With all these crazy internet videos of mostly amateur drivers performing amateur yet often dangerous stunts on and off the road in Saudi Arabia, one has to believe that owning a car dealership and/or a repair shop must be an extremely lucrative business in the country.

Carscoop reader 'Stallion' tipped us off about another mishap that occurred on the sand dunes of the Saudi Arabian desert when the driver of a 2012 Lexus LX 570 somehow managed to flip over the large SUV.

Judging by the cheering and the claps in the last of the three videos, we're going to assume that no one was hurt in the accident.

Lexus Unveils Sleek 2013 ES 350 and ES 300h Hybrid Sedans at the New York Auto Show [Pics & Video]

Blame prior experience, but of all Lexus models, the last one you would expect to impress with its styling would be the ES, yet the Japanese automaker did precisely just that with its sixth generation mid-size sedan that was officially revealed today at the New York International Auto Show.

With the 2013 model, Lexus has turned the ES from a bland mid-size model to a sleek looking sedan, which most other carmakers today wouldn't have a problem describing it as a "four-door coupe".

Even though the new ES incorporates the brand's latest design language as seen on the 2013 GS for example, the overall result is much crispier and cleaner.

In terms of dimensions, the wheelbase of the new ES has been lengthened by 1.8 inches, while the overall length of the vehicle has grown by just one inch. Lexus promises a more spacious interior as knee room is increased by 2.8 inches and legroom by 4.1 inches. According to the company, the new design also offers additional foot room below the front seat.

The cabin itself has been designed from scratch, with the dashboard reminding us that of the new GS sedan. Among other notable features is the availability of the next-generation Lexus Enform system, a Display Audio package that adds a seven-inch screen, a backup camera, HD Radio with iTunes tagging, Bluetooth audio, phone transfer, and a vehicle information display.

R&T Pits 2013 Lexus GS 350 F Sport Against Audi A7 Sportback

Lexus has high hopes for its brand new 2013 GS sedan in the highly competitive executive segment, or at least it does in the North American market because Europe is a different story.

While one would consider the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the BMW 5-Series or the Audi A6 more direct opponents for the GS, Road & Track magazine chose a different adversary in the form of the Audi A7 Sportback.

Audi's A7 may split the difference between a traditional saloon and a hatchback offering an in-between body style, but it in essence, it remains an executive model, so R&T's test is not too far off.
