New Kia Cee'd Hatchback to go on Sale in the UK in June Priced from £14,395


The United Kingdom is the next stop for Kia's brand-new, second generation Cee'd hatchback, after its world premiere at the Geneva Salon earlier this year. The five-door model goes on sale in the UK on 1 June with on the road prices starting from £14,395 and topping out at £23,795. Read more »

Kia Preparing a Common Replacement for Carnival and Carens MPVs, New Procee'd will Debut in Paris


Despite the ongoing economic woes of Europe, Kia is not backing down on its goal to boost sales in the Old Continent by an impressive 20.7 percent to 350,000 vehicles this year, following an already high 10.7 percent increase last year.

And that's not all as Paul Philpott, Kia Europe's Chief Operating Officer, told Autonews Europe that the company aims to reach annual sales of 400,000 vehicles by 2013.

Kia plans to do this with the launch of several key models, including the all-new Cee'd five-door hatchback this month and the Cee'd Estate in September.

Kia Drops Mega Photo Gallery of 2012 Cee'd Hatchback


Only a few weeks after its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva motor show, Kia is offering us a new gallery of pictures of its second generation Cee'd hatchback as the South Korean automaker gets ready to launch the five-door model across Europe towards the end of spring or early in the summer, depending on the market.

Perceived as Kia's most serious effort to gain foot in Europe's highly popular C-segment with rivals such as the VW Golf and Ford Focus, the brand-new Cee'd combines a more youthful and dynamic exterior with a higher quality and more upmarket looking interior.

Is this the First Official Sketch of the New 2012 Kia Pro_Cee'd Three-Door Hatch?


The next generation of Kia's five-door Cee'd and its estate sibling were only just introduced last week at the ongoing 82nd Geneva International Motor Show, but we already have what is claimed to be the first official rendering of the sportier looking Pro_Cee'd, courtesy of Kia-World.

The Pro_Cee'd is the three-door hatchback version of Kia's C-segment model and it's scheduled to launch in the European market within the next year, possibly making its debut at the Paris Motor Show this fall, though we wouldn't be surprised if Kia reveals the car at next year's Geneva event.

New Kia Cee'd Wagon Debuts Alongside Hatch at the Geneva Motor Show


The brand-new, second generation Cee'd hatchback isn't posing to the crowd alone at Kia's Geneva Motor Show display as the Korean automaker also premiered its station wagon variant.

And while we have the pictures to show you, for some reason Kia has decided to withhold all details simply stating that it will release more information closer to its on-sale date, later this year.

Kia Raises the Stakes with All-new 2012 Cee'd Compact Hatchback in Geneva


Hiding behind these two lovely presentations at Kia's Geneva Motor Show stand is the all-new, second generation Cee'd.

The South Korean firm's entry in the compact hatchback category with rivals like the Opel Astra and Ford Focus is larger, more stylish and promises to offer improved quality throughout over the outgoing model.

“Just as the original cee’d represented a major step forward for Kia in 2007, this second-generation model represents a further leap for the brand – both in terms of the capability and sophistication of the vehicle, and what it will do to drive further momentum in our European sales," commented Paul Philpott, Chief Operating Officer, Kia Motors Europe.

The new Cee'd was designed and engineered in Europe with manufacturing taking place at the company's Zilina facility in Slovakia.

Compared to the previous model, the overall length of the new car has been is increased by 50 mm to 4,310 mm while overall height has been reduced by 10 mm to 1,470 mm by lowering the ride height.
