Hardware, and not the computer kind.

Time was, we were surrounded  with beautiful designs on commonplace and utilitarian objects.  All of this required expertise in design, mould-making and metal casting.  Over the years, many of these lovely details have been painted over and forgotten.  It's worth rescuing.  Remove the layers of paint, and voila!
